GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Bulk Shipping Operator is responsible to get product ready for shipping by using MI for the load, documents the loading of train cars, trucks and/or containers. This employee would be primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of assigned equipment and processes.

*Looking to fill 2 days/2 nights; 4 positions total

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize train bay to ease access and minimize wasted space.
  • Ensure train bay is safe and poses no safety hazard.
  • Assist in loading train cars/containers in compliance with food safety and AGT regulations.
  • Use Ipad to document loading/unloading of train cars or containers.
  • Check shipping containers/cars for soundness and cleanliness; properly prepare/clean them prior to loading.
  • Verify containers have been prepared as per shipping instructions.
  • Verify the correct product is being loaded

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents.
  • Ability to utilize computerized equipment to produce the desired quality of products.
  • Tasks performed involve work with equipment and procedures that require familiarity with formal safety procedures and following them to maintain the safety of the work environment.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and to work at high elevations, and in confined areas.
  • Must be able to navigate numerous flights of stairs/ladders on a continual basis.
  • Must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work any day and/or shift including weekends and holidays.
  • Have the ability to perform all above tasks in an environment that is hot/cold.
 

Compensation

$21 per hour
